It’s been five years since we last had a new record from seminal post-punks Echo and The Bunnymen, but alas, it’s time. The Liverpool band are streaming their eleventh album, Meteorites, in full over at The Guardian before it comes out on June 3 via 429 Records.
We’ve already heard the seven-minute “Market Town” single, and now with the whole album up for streaming, it’s true what frontman Ian McCulloch said of the album. With claims that Meteorites is “more edgy than anything [he’s] done” and that the band took a “whole new approach,” we feel like we haven’t been led astray. Considering this is the band’s first effort since 2009′s The Fountain, things are sounding pretty great.
Head over to The Guardian to give it a spin.
